Carly renamed Brillo
We adopted Carly on 3/27/10.  Her new name is Brillo.  She is such a sweetheart.  She loves her new big sister Delta (we rescued Delta from Animal Control in October 2009).  They are inseparable.  They play together, curl up and sleep together, go on walks together.  I have even caught them eating out of the same bowl and chewing on the same toy.  She is a very happy, loving puppy and she is a perfect fit for our family.  Thank you for all that you do.

CeeCee
Hi,

Just wanted to say thank you for pulling those puppies from that kill shelter! Poor little pups!

CeeCee is doing very well. He is learning to love my parents much more now. I am confident they will be best friends by the end of this week. Thank you for the tips. And, good news, his kennel cough is pretty much gone at this point. Hope Chile Pepper and Milo are feeling better too.

I told you I would send a few pictures. I have a lot thus far so I just sent my favs!

Thanks again,

Elizabeth

Chancey
Hi there!  Just wanted to let you know how Chancey's first night in his new forever home went.  WONDERFUL!!  He loves his new big sister Peaches.  They played non-stop yesterday until they were both so pooped out they needed to crash.  I got Chancey his own dog bed, but we chose to snuggle with Peaches on her's instead.  He loves all of his new toys and is just having a blast.  He slept through the night no problem, but I sensed he missed you a little this morning.  He lay on my sofa staring out the front window for about an hour with a sad look on his face.  But after he had his breakfast it was back to the Peaches/Chancey show.  Peaches has completely accepted him and they play like best friends.  If ever you would like to come visit Chance, you are always more than welcome.  Thank you for taking good care of him.  I've attached a few pictures of his first night here with his new sister.  You'll be amazed at how much they look alike.  Almost like they are from the same litter!  Take care!
Lots of love,
Jeremy,
Brandon, Peaches, and Chance!

Hello there!
It's been a full week since Chance has been a member of the family so I thought I'd give you a little update.  You weren't kidding when you told us how wonderful of a dog he is.  He's the perfect companion for Peaches.  He is so well behaved and he's learning tons!  I've even taught him to get his leash when its time for his daily walk.  Very smart boy.
I took Chance to my vet this past week for a check up.  My vet had a few questions I was wondering if you knew the answers to.  I know Fowlerville Vet Clinic did his rabies shot, but I'm trying to find of who did the distemper?  My vet wants to know if the distemper had lepto aka DHLPP or just the DHPP.  If you happen to know I would greatly appreciate the info.
But everything is great here.  Chance is very well loved and is getting tons of exercise running and wrestling with Peaches.  I hope all is well with you.  Thank you again and take care!
Jeremy Noss and kids

Good morning!

I see they put Chance up on the Happy Tails part of the website!  That's great.  Just thought I'd let you know he's still doing fantastic.  It'll be five weeks tomorrow that we've had him and we can't thank you enough.  I did a lot of back and forth debating as to whether I was going to get a second dog, and now looking back I know I made a great decision.  We all love Chance and he and Peaches are inseparable.  I hope all is well with you!  Have a great day and weekend!

Jeremy, Brandon, Peaches, and Chance!

Charlotte renamed Bailey
Just a note to update you on Charlotte who we adopted
4-11-09. Her name is now Bailey which she answers to readily. She is a wonderful puppy and a much loved addition to our family. She is loving the attention she is getting from everyone. Bailey is a very social dog and a very happy one. We have a large fenced in yard which she enjoys immensely. She will go out to the yard, sit down, and listen to the birds and the chickens across the street with her ears cocked.  I took her to our Vet who we have been to for many years with your paperwork. On 4-27-09 she will receive her booster shot. The Vet has determined that Bailey is four months old and spaying is planned for next month. By the way, Bailey is completely housebroken. She eats well, sleeps well. She sits, and lays down on command. You must have worked with her on these things to which I thank you. When the spaying takes place I will forward the records as you requested.

Thank you for such a wonderful pet.

Cheta
Hello: Earlier today, I adopted Cheta at the Tractor Supply in Howell. The Take my Paw counselor was John. I believe John was also Cheta's foster dad. John seemed very sad to see Cheta go and gave us his email address so that we could send him pictures, which we would love to do. My daughter is a photographer. However, I'm having difficulty reading his email address. . Is there anyway that you could get in contact with him and send me his email address.
Also, please let him know that Cheta seems to be doing very well in his new house. He's already walking fine on a loose leash. He enjoyed his walk/run on the golf course. Tomorrow we plan to walk around the lake. He played with my grand dog (puppy) for awhile. We gave him a bath, which he actually seemed to enjoy. Right now, he is sleeping peacefully in his crate in my room. But never fear, once he is housebroken and understands that whole concept of "potty outside" he will sleep in my room without the crate.
With it being a holiday weekend, my vet does not open until Wednesday, but she will get him right in, probably that day. I've already emailed our trainer and he will soon begin puppy classes. Thank you so much for allowing me the opportunity to adopt him. And, please rest assured that he has found a wonderful home and will part of a very large loving family. As a matter of fact, they want me to name him Kilo as we have kilo (1000 x) love for him! However, I don't want people to think of drugs when they hear the name! So, I'm still unsure.
Thanks again for letting us take him home with us.
Kelly Cline

Attached are a few pictures that I took of Brodie this morning on our morning walk around the lake. I also enclosed a picture of the lake so you can see some of the environment that he is living in. Please note: Not to worry when you see the picture of him running in the tall grass ..he was on a very long retractable leash. He was not running free. In one picture he is laying next to my grand dog (Leo). You may remember him from when we adopted Brodie. As you can see, they are getting a long very well.
I took these pictures. Not as good as the ones my daughter will take. She is the photographer. Her shoulder is just about healed so they should be ready soon. I just thought you would like the update.
I'm sure you can see in the pictures that he is growing. He was 23 lbs when I first took him to the vets on the 6/1 to finish his puppy vaccines. I took him back on the 15th for his rabies vaccine, and he weights 30.5 lbs! He is attending Manners class for puppies and obedience training. Just laying the foundation with obedience ...he's a little young for that. But, he sits very well, walks on a loose leash very well now, and is learning to stay.
Thanks
Kelly

China renamed Madie (This family also adopted Pepper)
So i've renamed my pup to Madie, aka Madison.  She fits in perfectly into my home.  =)  Ruger loves her and she is a little tuffy.  He'll play ruff with her and she plays but if she gets mad hence her name, she growls her lil grow and charges Ruger.  It's great!!!!  i love just watching them.  Only problem i have, i'm jealous.  My Ruger would rather lay with her on the couch than me.  He normally would lay by my feet but now he's on the lil couch with Madie.
It was funny, when I first brought her in the house and left Ruger out b/c he was all over her, she ran into the kitchen and grabbed a bone and ran back to the lil couch and jumped up there and started eating the bone.  Like this is my place.  I loved it!
I'm taking her and Ruger to the vet for chip implants cheaper if you have more than one dog.  =) and to make sure all is good with both.  Thank you, I'm so happy with both of my lil babies!
Oh... plus she has only poop once in the house and pee'd only once too.  =) I take them out a lot.

Cinnamon is doing good. She takes all the toys under the table where she thinks the big dog cant get. its funny. She loves to play. She did great in her kennel today while I was at work. She loved my neice and nephew. And they loved her. My only question is would it be ok to give her a bath in next couple of days...i dont want to dry her skin out if you already have her one.
Thanks again Lindsey

Clare renamed Belle

Hi

I wanted to send this sooner but our internet has been down, driving me nuts that I couldn't do anything with all the pictures that I've taken! and Blake were so beyond surprised when they saw a new little puppy to love!!  We had gone away and when we got home AJ was in the laundry room hiding out.  The food and water dishes, house, etc had all been hidden.  My mom was at our house with the camcorder, and the kids just walked in the room telling their stories</span> of their day.  (Neither boy asked why I had a camera or why she had a camcorder!)  So then I called AJ out who was "doing laundry" and he walked out holding Clare with a big pink bow on her head!  Their mouths just dropped open with surprise!!  They couldn't believe he drove that far and that I was able to keep it so hush-hush!  We don't know her new name yet, but I'll let you know that as soon as we know!  (I could never be a foster because I would never be able to say good-bye to these puppies!!!  Good for you!!!)

A little certain someone wants out now........thanks again!

Karyn

 Hi

Clare(we renamed her) Belle made her first this weekend and I just wanted to show you how she's grown!  (We went up to Mackinac and Sault St. Marie which is about 7 hours from home.)  She was a great little traveler, sleeping almost the whole time!!  Every stranger she saw that said how cute she was I think in her mind got translated to "Lie down on my back because they want to rub my tummy!!"  She was soaking up the attention.

Hope all is well for you, have a good one

Karyn

Hope things have been going well for you and you're enjoying the holidays.  We finally took some pictures with the boys and dogs this morning by the tree.  Belle is still the sweetest dog a family could ever hope to find.  She even adores her little sidekick, Lexy.  She's a happy, healthy dog that we still feel so thankful you chose our family to raise her!
Take care, Merry Christmas!!
Karyn, AJ, Trace, Blake, Belle and Lexy

Clause
Hello! This is Carrie Moe, and we adopted Clause this morning. I just wanted to let you know that we are absolutely in LOVE with this dog. Hes just the sweetest thing!

I was just curious to know more about him. Was his mama a St. Bernard? Do you think he will be as large as a St. ? We want him reguardless, I'm just curious to know more about him. Hes so peaceful. Maybe its because of all of the transition in the last couple of days. How much do you think he will weigh? I tried to up load pictures... I'm not good at this stuff. :) I'll have my husband try to figure it out when he gets home. THANK YOU THANK YOU for this sweet little puppy! He's just precious.

Thank you again for your time!
Carrie Moe

Clyde

Dear Take My Paw Rescue,
Last December/ January, we adopted a little Doberman cross named Clyde. I never had a chance to tell you how appreciative our family is to your rescue and specifically, John, Clyde’s foster dad. We had 2 other dogs at the time, both rescued greyhounds. Since then our female greyhound has passed away. Clyde helped us through that hard time. Every time he jumps around and chases a ball or runs around the house like mad, we just can’t help but smile and laugh. He has been such a wonderful addition to our family. I am so grateful that you guys and John found him and kept him until we could meet him. We regret not adopting Bonnie and hope that she is living the good life in her new home. Clyde is now about 8-9 months old and a healthy 55lbs. He has been wonderful company for our remaining greyhound Jaxen. Thanks again,

The Peedle Family

Connie renamed Zoey
Hi,
Yes, you did tell us to feed her small portions several times a day. Connie, now Zoey, is doing GREAT! I did take a stool sample to the vet yesterday because it looked like something white in it and she has Tape Worms. The vet said she must have eaten a flea that was infected. Luck of the draw.... Anyways, she is going in on Friday, the first appointment they had, to get a shot and she will be fine.
I'll try to remember to send you pictures. Our Rott puppy, Sampson, loves her. He thinks she is hip puppy. lol
Thank you for giving us this prescious little girl to join our family
God bless,
Sheila Pawlak

Yes, you are so right. We are in the worry business. lol I can't believe how much we love her already. Sampson adores her. We left her downstairs in her cage the first couple nights and she cried for a long time. Sampson was so worried that he paced upstairs for a long time before he could settle down. Went I went for physical therypy I decided to leave the both in sampsons VERY large cage, and they were so happy. I figured I would try leaving them in his cage at night and sure enough, not a whimper out of either one of them. They are so funny togehter. They play keep away all the time, she usually outsmarts him. lol Also, we have an old couch on the deck that she hides under, and when Sampson tries to stick his nose under it to smell for her, she slaps him with her paw. They are so comical together. So much happiness already.
Zoey is our grandsons puppy because we promised him the first puppy. Ron and I wanted to get a boxer mix or a boston terrier; problem is, I have fallen in love with her! I'm gonna try to talk my grandson into letting us keep Zoey and let us get him another puppy.
Anyways, thank you again for choosing us for Zoey's new family.
God bless,
Sheila Pawlak

Curly renamed Bandit

I just wanted to give you an update on Curly.  He is doing fantastic!  He is such a good dog and Milo loves him.  On the way home he taught Milo to sit in the back seat and be good and quiet, which Milo has never done before!  Curly has adjusted really well.  He cried a little at night (for his foster mom?) and he is slightly limping on his back leg.  We are really happy with Curly and wanted to say thank you for having him brought up to the store.  He is the dog we have been looking for.  I have attached some pictures of Curly and Milo.

Thanks again,

Amanda and Scott

I just wanted to give you an update on “Curly”, (Bandit).  He is doing really well and fits into our home nicely.  I have attached a picture of Milo and Bandit sleeping together, they really like each other.  We took him to the vet and had him fixed ( I have attached a scanned copy of the invoice for the refund) and also had an x-ray done on his hip. (Which has healed up too).  We are also wondering if anyone knew his breed; we are guessing beagle/pug/Shepard?

Thanks again for bringing him to the store.

Amanda & Scott

Cyrilla renamed Brandy
Thank you so much for letting me adopt a puppy from your rescue.
I did re-name her Brandy, (hope you don't mind) She is a lot of fun. I am working on teaching her and she is a very smart puppy. We are both learning each other very quickly. She loves playing with my moms dogs and they are having fun with her too.
I have attached a few pix. Thanks again and keep up the great work for all the other animals in need out there.
