Fancy renamed Addie
Hi,
She is doing great!  No further health issues and has turned a corner with the separation anxiety.  She's a very responsive dog and loves her sports.  My dad just went into a nursing home for a month or two and she was invited for visits. She loves her frisbee and bones - has learned the word 'bone' and goes off to get one when I suggest she "get her bone".  Someone had taught her to play fetch -- was that you? and she really loves to play fetch with her stuffed toys and the frisbees.  When the weather improves I am going to take her to the Greater Lansing Obedience Club and see how she might do with flyball or agility.  She is FAST.  She knew the word "squirrel" when I got her and tries and tries to scare them through the glass.  The other night a raccoon got on the deck and she growled and growled.
A couple times a week we go for walks with our neighbor and his German Shepherd and the two dogs are good friends.  The other day they played Tug of War with a rope and it was hilarious.  Other times we have our route in the neighborhood or go down to the riverwalk in town so that she gets socialized to people, sidewalks, cars and whatnot.  She handled the Grand Ledge St. Patrick's Day Parade like a champ on Saturday.  Didn't even blink an eye at the horses and bagpipes.

Fawn (also adopted by the same family was her brother Fritz)
Hi,
I am sorry to not have sent pictures, but my digital camera is on the things to do list.
Faun and Fritz (Fritz is now named Kai, scottish for fire, And he definately is) are doing wonderful. Kai weighs 11 pounds and is a beautiful boy.
Faun had a childhood accident on Thursday, with the wind so strong the car door closed on her. I rushed her to our vet and thank goodness she is only bruised , but she is in pain meds for six days. She weighs 9 lbs. Both have turned into our babies and love to cuddle and get into bed. Talk about sleeping with 3 min pins with long locked legs.
Our Lance has learned to run and play thanks to the pups and he has lost 2 lbs. which is what I hope for.
Faun should be on the race track. She can run like the wind and the other two cannot catch her, but she is grounded for 6 weeks because of her bruised shoulder. Her xrays showed nothing broken.
Please feel free to come visit us, or I can bring them to you.
I take all three to take care of Nana and Grandpa every day. We are heading to Gladwin on Sunday to get a Dachshund puppy, if you can believe it, A PACK IS THE WAY TO GO.  They adjust so well in that environment.
Thank You for the email. I did not for some reason, ( I don't know why), save your address.
Sincerely, Marilyn Keen

Foxy renamed Shadow
Hi. Just to give you an update on Foxy, now named Shadow. We adopted her two weeks ago last Saturday.
We've had three puppy classes. She's still very shy there, however at home she's a star. She knows her name, sits, lays down, and comes when called. She gets along wonderfully with our two beagles, and is learning that cats aren't something to chase. She loves to play with my parents' springer spaniel when he comes to visit.
Away from home she is shy and skittish, but that's because she obviously hasn't met a lot of the new things that she is seeing. We are working hard on socialization :-) It is interesting, though, to see her approach four bags of mulch like they are something from an alien world or see her react to other new things.

Here's a recent photo.
