Jake

Hi All,

Just to let you know that Jake did wonderful last night. Slept in his bed (next to ours) all night. Went out to potty several times. So far he’s been relatively good on the leash when we take him out back.

He does indeed have a very sweet personality. Laid on the floor next to him this morning and he rolled over on his back while I rubbed his belly. Very, very sweet (he’s on the floor behind me as I type this).

Going for a long walk later this afternoon after it warms up a little.

We are so very lucky to find him and thank you. We’ll keep you up-to-date.

Thanks – Gary and Joanne Kosten

Won’t keep bombarding you with emails, but thought we’d keep you up-to-date.

Took Jake for a walk into downtown Northville last night. He did great, people petting him, etc. We went in to the UPS Store and met everyone there (the owner has three Golden’s) and Jake got a biscuit. He LOVE’s riding in the car. It’s too funny because he likes to sit on the back bench seat of the van like a person. Got to ride with his head out of the window through the neighborhood. He love’s that too.

My son had two of his friends for a sleepover last night so Jake had a lot of activity last night.

He slept in our other dog’s bed last night, which is fine because Nana has been sleeping on the bed with us all night long lately.

He is a very sweet and sensitive dog and we just love him.

 All the best,

 Gary and Joanne Kosten

Hi,

Actually this is Gary, Joanne’s husband.. LOL. I took Jake for a good walk earlier today, maybe about a mile or so. He’s just fine. He pulls a little but listens very well.

He’s absolutely loveable and a very smart. He’s doing fantastic with Nana. Had them both laying on the couch together but when I tried to grab my camera, they jumped off thinking I was going outside…

We love him and he fits in very well with us.

We’re mixing his food with the Proplan we use at about a two to one ratio currently and will slowly wean him on to the new food.

We’ll stay in touch and send some photos soon. I’ve attached a few of Jake’s new home/yard and also of our sweet Mandy that we just lost (scroll down)

Jasmine renamed Sascha

Hello.

I adopted Jasmine (Sascha) back on February 28th of this year. BEST THING I"VE EVER DONE! She's a wonderful little girl full of love and puppy kisses. We are in the process of puppy classes and she is learning quickly.

Anyway, my family and I are wondering if there has been an update on her brother BoDean? We are very curious to see how he is doing and how big he's gotten. Can you help?

Thank you.

Rebecca Chesnut

I want to thank you once again. It was a year ago today that I adopted my Sascha (Jasmine) from Take My Paw. The last year has been wonderful and I look forward to the many more we have together. Thank you!

Jessica renamed Maggie
Hello, This is Jessica! We adopted her from you in Howell at the pet store. We renamed her Maggie. She's been doing great! She will be finishing up all her puppy shots at the end of this month and then she'll be making her first trip to the dog park. We are very excited. She is getting along wonderfully with our other dog (Lucy), they are already best friends. She sleeps in the bed ha, and weighed seventeen pounds at her last vet visit. She's quite the character and we really enjoy having her around. Here's some pictures!

Justin renamed Zane
Hi,

This is Angie and Justin, we adopted a yellow Lab mix back in November from your shelter @ the TSC in Whitmore Lake.  He was named Justin but we changed his name to Zane.  He's doing wonderful, he loves running in our fenced yard, grabbing huge mouths full of snow, climbing snow banks and riding around in the plow truck.  The qualities of a good sporting dog are beginning to show, he has keen eye sight and loves exploring the outdoors.  At the moment he's taking it easy after getting neutered.

Here are some pictures from his new parents.

Jerri renamed Riley
Hello!
Sorry I didn't get to pictures yesterday we were so busy and your info was in the car.  Here are some pics of Jerri as promised.  The kids decided to change her name to Riley.  It beats Yoda!  Our dog, Indi, was a little miffed the first night but in her charming way Riley has made her a fan very quickly.   Things are going very very well.  Riley has not had one accident in the house and is as calm and gentle as she was when we first met her.  I can't believe what a great puppy she is.  She plays when you want to but is also willing to curl up in your lap if you sit on the floor.  At first she would not climb up or down the stairs to the second floor but this morning I turned around and there she was!   The only thing I have seen her bark at is the dog to get her to play.  She sleeps all night to 7 goes potty plays for 10 minutes and is back asleep.  I keep saying she is too good a puppy to be true!  Thank you so very much for allowing her to come into our lives and for taking such good care of her.  She had her first bath last night and was NOT fond of that at all!  I will send you pics as she grows and hopefully I can get the two to sit still long enough to get one of them together.
Thanks again and good luck with your other dogs.

Joy renamed Macie
Hi,
I wanted to thank you for working with us yesterday in adopting Joy.   We are so
lucky to have her.  She is doing very well at our house and has spent a lot of
time outside playing.   So far, she has gone potty outside when we take her and
has only had an accident twice.  We have been to the store twice and set her up
with  bunch of toys and treats.
Joy is so happy, but we did change her name to "Macie".  It just seemed to fit
her better.  Don't worry, we will take great care of her and I will continue to
send you pictures!
I though that you would get a kick out of one more photo.  Macie is very
comfortable, sleeping next to my husband!  She is so sweet/funny.

Take care,
Kim Truesdell
