Karlos renamed Ravi
Hi, I adopted a sheltie mix puppy from you guys named Karlos on January 16th. We changed his name to Ravi and have really been having a lot of fun! Our other dog Ian McShane aka Lambie a 13 year old rat terrier. Lambie really likes him, they play, a lot, and Ravi follows him around and copies what he does, so far mostly good.
Ravi has his 2nd vet check today, he is very healthy and happy.
Thanks so much for all your good works and our great dog Ravi!
Pam

Kelly renamed Eva
Hi,
We are the people that adopted Kelly, the terrier mix, from you about a month ago. I just thought you might like to hear how she is doing. She has fit into our family just perfectly and we are extremely happy to have her! She is very well behaved and loves playing with her new sister, our year old yellow lab, Maude. Since our first lab was named Kelly, we decided to rename Kelly "Eva", and she has already learned her new name. She spends most days playing in the yard with us and Maude or going for long walks in the wildlife refuge down the road from our house. She is a great little country dog and enjoys playing with our grandkids. Here are a couple of pictures of her in her new home. Thank you very much for picking us to take her home, we love her!

KoKo
Hi,
I don't have pictures yet as didn't have my camera with me last weekend but wanted to let you know how KoKo is doing. This just couldn't have been better. Exceeds my expectations. My mom can't tell me enough how much she just loves this little dog. She brushes him every day - she had to work up to it as he didn't really like it at first but he is letting her do a little more each time. She was able to do the rear end today where it was a bit matted. He had a couple of accidents the first two days but none since then as she lets him out on a regular basis and gives him a little treat each time he comes in. At first he didn't really want to go out but now he does, goes and does his business and comes right back in for his treat. This morning he woke her up at 6:30 and she followed him to the front door and he stood there waiting for her to put the hook on him so he could go out. I was so pleased. I was a little worried about this but it sounds like they are working it out. She takes him in the car with her as they go on a daily drive somewhere and he loves to go for a ride. She is so happy to have a little companion with her on her journey that used to be by herself. She talks to him all of the time and told me she doesn't have to call others and bother them as much as she gets talked out talking to cute little KoKo. We talked about him going to a groomer and she checked prices and found it was $30 and so she said maybe I can just learn to do this myself. I told her not to worry - I would pay for the groomer and she said that you have to drop them off in the morning and can't pick them up until the afternoon...I said yes, right, that is what we do with our cocker spaniels and she said, "but I can't do that - it would break my heart to have him gone all day".
Oh boy…The vet appointment is for next Saturday 12/15 - I don't recall which vet but it is different than the one in E. Lansing as that is a bit of a drive. I will be taking them and will take pictures then. Am also taking her some grooming tools when I go next week. Blunt scissors etc. He is putting on a little weight - she if feeding him a bit extra right now as he was so bony. She will cut that back in the next week or two. An extra 1/2 cup per day right now. He has never nipped or growled at her. She picks him up all of the time and he has no problems. It is so nice when a plan comes together. I'll send you pictures next week.

Kodiak renamed Turbo
Hello,
We were debating if we should change his name and we did to Turbo. He is responding very well to his new name: which I am very surprised. He is a VERY SMART dog. During the car ride home he was very nervous, he almost cried the whole way. When we got home, we walked Turbo around the yard. Axel (our other dog) was barking and going crazy inside the house when he saw a dog in his yard. So I went and got Axel, brought him outside to meet our new puppy. Axel ran up to him, sniffed his butt and walked away from Turbo, Axel was no longer interested in him and calmed right down. I knew Axel would be absolutely OK with another dog. Turbo only peed in the house three times so far. The first time was within the first minute of him being inside the house. He jumped on the couch, on my white coat and tinkled all over the couch and my coat. lol. The other two times was during the first night. So what I did was early this morning at 2am I took him outside. I have learned when Turbo cries to me is when he wants to go outside. Its worked every time. He even knows what the word outside means!!!! I am so HAPPY. He also walks great on the leash. Great training on your part. Thanks. Turbo also gets along GREAT with Axel. They both started to play with each other yesterday morning. They play for hours: it is very funny. Axel is 5 times bigger than Turbo and Axel is so gentle with him. (Turbo weights 23 lbs.) Turbo also started barking at sounds along with Axel. Turbo is slowly getting use to Rachel and Jacob (Richards Kids). We also think Turbo is more shy towards men too, but we'll have to see. It's too soon to tell. Today I gave Turbo a bath and he did great. He is such a cuddle buddy. He follows me around and comes to me for his security blanket. We know it's going to take time to get him used to people. I am going to wait a week or two before I take him to my work, PetSmart. I will take him there to socialize with other people and dogs. I did buy him wet canned food that I have been mixing in with his dry food. I hope that we'll put some weight on those little ribs of his. Turbo also loves all of the toys we have. I also went and got him more chewing toys just for him: for when he loses his baby teeth. He loves rawhides, ropes and balls.
I attached some photos to the email.
So far everything is going great and we are so happy for our new addition to the family,
Thank you so much,
Chantelle Wells & Family
