Larry renamed Ozzie
Hello,
Thank you for Rex (aka Larry). He has quite a bit of energy and personality. Remy and Rex really hit it off right away. The have a game where Remy takes a stick or toy and Rex chases. It is hilarious especially around the couch in the livingroom.
We will keep in touch and send updates on Rex's progress.
See you Saturday,
The Bradners
Hello,
Ozzie (aka Rex and Larry) is doing great. We are doing great with the house training and he has learned to sit and lay down (as long as there are treats involved) :).
Remy and Ozzie are really getting along and enjoy taking lots of naps... I think that they wear each other out running around the yard.
We have our first puppy vet appointment tomorrow - should be interesting.
Keep in touch,
The Bradners
Good Evening,
Sorry it has been so long since my last update but Ozzy is doing great. His last vet visit he was 32# and everything was normal. We are able to let him out of his crate at night and he likes to sleep with different people each night. We are still working on bell training but I think he just follows Remy's lead and doesn't need to ring the bell to go out. Ozzy is the messiest dog I have ever seen. I need to get a picture of him after a rainy day. He loves to get dirty - head to tail!!! We have a door that is right across from one of our bathrooms so many of times he goes right into the tub from being outside.
He has learned to sit, stay, come, lay down, and touch. He is a quick learner if there is a treat!!! plus he likes to copy his big brother Remy. As you can tell in the photos he doesn't lack any cuddle time with the kids. He is doing better with little children but still is apprehensive - we are working on that.
He is finally able to jump up on the coaches and beds on his own - which he is just loving. He also found the stairs to the basement - which is where the laundry room and rec room are. So he loves following the kids and Remy everywhere now.
He is so fluffy and rolly that he reminds me of a bear cub.
I will do better to keep in touch.
Theresa Bradner

Layla renamed Shadow
Sorry it's taken so long to send you this update. Layla is doing great!  The kids changed her name to Shadow, and she gets along really well with our other dog, Spike. She's scheduled for her spay this Friday.  We had to put it off because she came down with dimitrix(?) mange, which needed to be clearing up before the surgery. Obedience classes start Sunday- can't wait!!

I just wanted to let you know that the puppy we adopted (now affectionately known as Gi-Gi) is doing great.  The kids are loving her playfulness as well as how sweet she is.  Our other dog, Tuna, enjoys having a playmate even if she is a little small still.  Her potty training is going great, only 2 accidents!  Her is a picture of Gi-Gi and Tuna for you.Have a great holiday!!

Lily
Sorry it has taken me a while to let you know how Lily is doing. Life is crazy around here, Ray is doing better, has been in and out of Rehab for a year now. For those of you who don't know he had a stroke on March 12, 2009. We figured out probably around the time Lily was born, so they are going to heal together.
She is doing great, she is up to 28pounds the last time we had her to the vet. Loves the kids and anyone who stops by. She loves to fetch a ball, Frisbee or anything that she can get in her mouth. She has such a playful and happy soul, she is a joy to have around (although she does like to eat out of the garbage..which we are working on). She does good on a leach (does get a little nervous still) can sit and now will lay down when we eat. She loves to play outside in any weather (especially snow!).  I have attached a few pictures for you all to share.
Thanks for allowing us to raise Lily : )  Have a Great Day,
Colleen, Ray, Jeffrey and Catherine Topper

It is ok to e-mail us anytime!
Yes she has recovered more of her eye sight, she is now able to sit while I throw a tennis ball and then go get it.  Once in a while she loses sight of it and we have to help her find it.  We knew her eyesight was better when at training she could see the other dogs across the room.
When she gets over excited she will run into things but not normally.
Oh yes and she still half hops/half runs everywhere! Feel free to put an update on your website for her and use one of the pictures I sent.
Keep in touch!  The Topper's

Livia renamed Nelly aka Nutty Nelly
Hello, my names edana kelly on the 26th of november my family and I adopted livia the saint bernard/retriever mix. My mother contacted the rescue a week or two after the adoption about questions of her breed if she was a pitbull or not. We arranged to take her back but didn't we kept her. And thank god we did. Livia is now known as Nelly aka Nutty Nelly! She is full of life and the best dog I have ever met. She's so smart and easy to train everyone loves her she has a great personality. Were in colorado for the summer and she's my hiking and river buddy. I was on the happy tales link and I noticed that her puppy picture wasn't up. I would love to post pictures I seen that her brothers Heinrich and Clause had pictures and their parents has shared info about them and I would like to do the same.

Lucy renamed Bridgett
Hi there,
I am writing to give you an update on Lucy (now named Bridgett), who my husband adopted this past Saturday.  As you can see from the attached pictures, we are having a great time with her!  She has settled nicely into her new home and is quite possibly the most well-behaved puppy we've ever met.  She already comes when called and reacts to "No!" when necessary.  She is also doing well with her house training.  After the first evening, we have not had any accidents except in her crate overnight.  (We can't seem to get her to let us know she needs to go out then - Did you have a method?)
The best thing, though, is how well she is getting along with our three sons.  She is gently playful - just perfect!  They all have a great time running around the yard and playing ball (She's getting close to officially "fetching").  We've also had a wonderful hike or two in the state park that adjoins our property.
My husband and I marvel each day at how fortunate we feel to have adopted this particular dog.  We feel certain she is going to be one of the best dogs we've ever owned, which is saying a lot!
Cordially,
Amy Grant
P.S.  So you know, we do have a vet appointment set up for her this coming Saturday, the 27th.  We plan to take good care of this pup!

Lucy
Hi.
Lucy is doing wonderful. She is a part of our family now and we do everything with her. She met my brother in laws dog and they are great playmates together. She is a great listener and we just absolutely love her. She gets nothing but pure love from us everyday. We are really working hard on the potty training, but it's going to take time and we are patient. I was wondering though, she has been having some blood in her stool, did you notice before? I have a few pictures to send, and you don't have to worry about her and us not having a fenced in yard, we keep a tight hold on her. Thank you so much again, you guys have done wonderful with her and we appreciate it very much. She has completed our family.
