Makenzie renamed Ellie
To Our Fellow Dog Lovers
Thanks so much for bestowing us with Ellie (formally Makenzie). She has brought us much joy and she's been a great companion. We did enroll Ellie in puppy classes which really helped her socially. She gets along with other dogs well even the larger ones. Although, she is still quite rambunctious and somewhat wild but improving each month. Ellie is now just over six months old and weighs about 27 pounds. Quite different than when we first brought her home at under five pounds.
Her crate training has worked very well. She is in the crate on days during the work week and can now stay there for several hours without any potty accidents. We have been dropping her off at Doggie Day Care (w/our vet) usually once a week.
Ellie absolutely loves to retrieve with us - bats, frisbee, sticks, you name it. She'll bring it back every time and lets go of the object most of the time. The dog is rather smart also. Ellie at three months would sit for you and shake her paw on command. We have introduced her to lake water and calm rivers, she is really going to love the water.
Hope everything is going well with your dog rescue and best wishes to all.

P.S. We have included a couple of pictures of Ellie Maye.

Mandu renamed Hooch
Hi, Hooch...Think he is at home?! He owns the furniture! Our boy is doing great! He is the most lovable dog...although he was supposed to be Bob’s buddy, he has turned out to be a momma's boy! Ha Ha As he gets older, hopefully they will bond! Oh they love each other, but he follows me where ever I go. He gets along with the girls, in fact they have lost some weight (they are 9) and haven't had this much exercise in years! There will be a few more photos following this one. He lost all his puppy fur and winter coat! Look at the difference....He is on Nutro Max puppy food. He is so funny, everyone loves him...Mr. Personality! We changed his name to Hooch...When he drinks water, wow, I'm sure you now...slobbers it all over! He reminded us of the movie! Well bye for now, I will keep in touch.
Debbie Cramer

Well its been almost a year and here is a picture of our boy Hoochiemandu! He's made himself right at home! We love him so much. He is so smart, and so funny. Really has his own personality. He talks with his eyes...and that face!
Do you know of any malamute or husky mix dogs you may have? My husband really wants one to replace his that died. He loves Hooch, but he is a momma's boy! Let me know if you have anything of interest.
Thanks
Debbie Cramer

Mick
Hi,
Mick is doing well. He is now out of the crate almost all the time. We have been letting him sleep outside of it and he seems to like that. He is coming up to me to pet his head. He had a rough day on Monday as I had my Nieces and Nephew over. He hid behind the couch all day. He sleeps by my side of the couch most of the time. He has even licked my hand a few times.
Good luck with Myah, I have a feeling she is in great hands :}
Keep in touch,
Dani
Hi,
I have taken a few pictures but he is still very shy of the camera. I want to wait just a little longer, his happily ever after pictures of him should be of him happy.
He began playing with Princess over the weekend. He is coming up to us for attention more often, although he does not like two handed petting. He has begun exploring more of the home. He is treating treats right awaywhen we give them to him and almost took one out of my hand. He wags his tail when he sees us and wants to do more things but is still a little afraid. He is doing well with cats.
I found this to be cute, when he hides behind the couch, he goes to the end and peeks his head over the arm just to see what is going on. He is soooo cute.
Dani
Hi,
He is still working out his fears, although he is coming along nicely. He has found his area in the family that he likes to lay while we watch TV. He comes up to us to get pets on his schedule. He has taken one treat from my hand and only one. He loves being outside and the night of the big snowfall, he and Princess we running around the yard, he was out running her, which is unusual for Princess.
We are not giving up on him and he appears to be getting better everyday. He does seem to have more fear of men than women I have noticed. Even Kevin, he has had a cold and when he is hoarse, Mick wants very little to do with him. Me, when I was a little hoarse, did not seem to bother him.
I did crawl into the crate yesterday and gave him a big hug... He tolerated it, but I felt it was letting him know that even if I hold him, he won't get hurt. We have not taken him to our Vet, yet as I want him to be a little more comfortable with us before that drama...
He uses his crate and behind the couch as he safe spots still and he has begun the pacing when people are over. Our friend who is caring for the animals while we are gone is coming over daily right now and has left one of his shirts in the crate to help Mick become more familiar with him. He has also suggested that he spend the night on the couch one night before we go.
I really mean it when I say I have no problems with you contacting me/us. I know that Mick has a special place in your heart and it is not easy to just forget him. Please contact me whenever you need to.
I think Mick will continue to adjust just fine in our home. Everyone who has met him thinks is a beautiful dog.
Dani
Hello,
Just thought I would give you an update... Mick is doing very well. When we went on our vacation, a friend of ours stayed at the house. During the week Mick came up to him while we were gone and put his head on his leg to get pets. He is adjusting well. He has found his "safe" area behind the couch. I took him to the Vet when I was taking one of my cats, just so he could get acclamated to the office and the people. He did wonderfully on the leash, but once we got to the vet, he ran towards the bushes and hid under the downspout. He is a very good boy and enjoys running & playing with Princess in the yard. Spring will be interesting with the pool because he is running across the frozen pool right now. As soon as I get a chance to download pictures, I will send you some of him.
Thank you for all the love and time you gave him.
Dani
