Parker renamed Emmett
Good day! I wanted to write and thank you for all your organization does! I adopted a puppy from you on 04/09/2011. His name was Parker - but my daughter has since renamed him Emmett. He is a black lab/australian shepherd. I was really hoping to let his foster dad John know how great he is - but the copy of his email address is illegible on the paperwork that I have received.  He has been a wonderful addition to our family. He fits right in and loves to play with our St Bernard Loomis. He is perhaps the most laid back puppy I have had. He already knows his name, he lets me know when he needs to go outside, can sit and lay down, is great on a leash and is wonderful in the bathtub. Not bad for an almost 4 month old pup!  I can't thank you and all those that foster enough! I have been thinking of a new pup for months and even went to Tractor Supply to look at a different puppy. I have to believe there was a reason I waiting so long and the pup I went to look at was already adopted - we couldn't have a better fit with Emmett! I have attached a couple of picture of Emmett settling in to his new home.
-Leah, Gracee and Big Dog Loomis.....and of course - Little Emmett!

Pearl

My siblings are Nevada, Linc, Donovan and , Linc, Donovan and Logan. We were saved from going into a kill shelter. My foster mom says that I am real lucky because most places would not want me and would have just put me to sleep forever because I have to have surgery. I have a Double Hernia.  My foster mom will make sure I get my tummy fixed because she loves all gods little angels and thinks we all deserve a chance at finding love. My siblings might find their forever homes at the pet adoption that they are going to.  So everyone knows little angels like me are why there are adoption fees and why it is nice to donate to rescues/shelters. We get to be all better to go on to have a loving family.

Pearl was at the adoption event that was taking place to find her siblings a forever home.  Her foster mom was taking pre-adopt applications for Pearl so when she recuperated from surgery she could find her forever home.  Much to the delight of Pearl and Take My Paw a family came in and fell in love with her instantly.  They inquired about her and got information regarding her care prior to, during and after her surgery.  The family wanted to know if they could adopt her right then and there.  Take My Paw explained all that was to be watched for, how to care for her and all of the care that was required for her.  The family understood and what a wonderful thing, they adopted her and she found her forever home that day just like her siblings.  What a blessing this day was for Pearl.  Below is an update on her.  She still has to go through her surgery but this is what her family had to say of her.

Pearl is doing great. She is a dolly. Today she went to our children's elementary school for some major lovin... at least one hundred kids shared pets or hugs with her... she ate it all up. She has hiked at the state park, romped the trails on our property and logged a few miles in on the trails around the golf course down the road. Our big dog Lilly is already enjoying her company.  Our 21 year old kitty Cashette is not too impressed... yet!  :-)  The kids are thrilled to have our new friend in the  family. They can't wait to have another sleep out this weekend in the kitchen with her.  Pearl has already wrapped her adorable puppy love around all our hearts.  Regarding Pearl’s double hernia surgery, not sure when the 12th week is exactly... we are headed to northern Canada April 9th thru the 12th. When you (Take My Paw) schedule her appointment let us know if you need to do it while we are away (I could drop her off and have you keep her till we return) or if it is okay to have her appointment the week of the 13th. I am happy to go with whatever you guys decide, just wanted to give you a heads up for timing.  Attached are a couple of pictures of Pearl.

Our warmest - furriest regards Toni, Frank, Chris, Ronni, Lilly, Cashette and Pearl

Updated photo's of Pearl

We headed off to Muskegon last weekend for a five day camp-out. Two dogs, two kids and two nutty adults in a small camper.  We all had a blast. Pearl LOVES camping. You should see her swim.  There were 3 other families that went along as well. Pearl and Lilly were loved/walked/run/"smimmed" and hugged by 8 kids until they dropped! (Hence "resting" and I "want to close my eyes!) Muskegon state park has wonderful dunes... Lilly is too senior so we don't let her do them any more, but Pearl tore em up.  All is well over here! Hope you are well too.

Sending good energy,

Toni

Hi Again,

Pearl had a blast in northern Canada. She agrees with us that lake Superior is one cold bugger girl(water temp was in the upper 40s). Attached are Pearl Kayaking/tubing on Superior at our family "camp".  It is sooo beautiful there, hardly ever any one else on the water, mountains in the back drop.... dreamy.

Pearl had her surgeries on Wednesday, July 15th. She came through every thing just fine. Now to keep a puppy calm for 10 more days... I think I'd rather swim in Superior!  :-)

I paid Doctor Altrogge in full for all her services...  (next week) I will scan a copy of her services for you and then TMP can reimburse me. Thank you.

We are headed to Waterloo for a campout... pack the smores!

Thank you always for the love you give to the world by helping her little ones.

Hugs, Toni and gang.

    <Pearl's one year B-Day

Hi TMP friends.
My my the summer has gone and October's chill has started it's hold.
Pearl finished off her summer with a fabulous week up at our camp on Superior.
She is a Kayaker extraordinaire, in and on top of our boats.
She loves the water,  the beach and her family. She is such a gift to us.
October brings the annual Halloween Campout...remember last weekend's rain/wind and cold?
Well, we were camping...
Here is a sneak peak at Pearl's 2010 Bat costume.
Pearl delighted many campers with her beauty and great personality.
That's when we tell them about all the good dogs just like her waiting to be rescued!
She also kissed a skunk that weekend... 5 of us in a small camper with a skunk christened pooch... that's when we don't say anything about her being a rescue ;-)
As always we send you our best wishes and thanks for the love you share on our earth.
Hugs Pearl &Toni (F,C & R)

Pepper renamed Ruger (This family also adopted China)
Hi,
I just wanted to say Hi, and Thanks for hooking me up with little Ruger.  =) I've attached a picture of us.  He is a snuggle puppy which I love.  It's funny b/c Amelia has given him his 2nd name it is Skinny Legs Puppy Wuppy Flaggy Ears.  So now he is Ruger Skinny Legs Puppy Wuppy Flaggy Ears Raymer. Poor fella.  =)  Amelia says that when I'm not around and her and Crissy are puppy sitting, she is his momma and he is her favorite son.  =)
He and I go for walks at least once a day, I try to push for twice a day, but i've been lazy in the morning.  He's doing better with being potty trained, but I can't wait for the day i can clean my carpets upstairs.  =)
I hope all is well with you and I hope one day soon, you'll be able to come and visit both Ruger and I.
Thanks,
Teri

Petey renamed Gus (This family also adopted Ben)
Hi,
My name is Missy Delmotte and I adopted two puppies from you.  It has been a little while, but I just wanted to give you an update on them.
Ben, who was the black and tan mastiff mix, is now known as Duke.  I think the name really fits him because he really thinks he is royalty :)  He is about 50 lbs now and is really built like a rott.  He has the stance and is getting the size to match.  He is full of personality and loves to play tug a war with all his toys.  He is my menice because he has already eaten two cell phones.  So, needless to say he is pretty expensive :)  He really has a one of a kind personality.  He gets into everything and likes to think he is the king of the house :)  Can't say I don't let him be king either :)
Petey, who was the brown and tan mastiff mix, is now known as Gus Gus.  He really reminds me of the mouse from Cinderella!  I like to think of him of my cat.  I think in another life he really was a cat!  He likes to curl up on the back of the couch just like a cat would.  He is my cuddle bug.  He loves to cuddle and just get love.  He really has the body and stance of a doberman.  He isn't as fat as his brother, but he has these really long legs and skinny body, just like a doberman.  He is the princess of the house :)
They are both big and healthy now and last month they had their six month check up and are doing great!  Duke has a problem with staying in the yard, but we are working on it!  They ate one of the fence posts in half!  We have sense replaced all the posts with steel ones, but now he has figured if he digs under the fence he can squize his big butt under it!  He always ends up in the neighbors fenced in yard though, but this is a concern of mine and we are looking at ways to fix it so he can not dig under the fence any more!  It has been a month since he has gotten out so we have our fingers crossed that we have fixed this problem.  He is just really curious and wants to play with all the neighbors dogs!  So we have more play dates with the neighbors now so they are all really socialized :)
I don't think I could have ever gotten away with taking just one of them because they are glued at the hip with each other.  When they sleep they are always curled up next to each other.  You can really see the brotherly love :)  They are a real joy to have and I am SO GLAD I took both of them.  Their personalities are really coming through and even though they are as different as day and night, you can really see the brotherly love!  They eat a lot and duke is kind of a pig lol, but they are both happy and so am I :)

Just wanted to give you an update on them and to thank you for letting me adopt them!  They are a real joy to have around :)

Piper

Mommy
Well, it was a long drive here, but Momma Sandi said I was a very good girl J  I don’t know about that, but I know I had a really good nap!!  There is a lot to see and explore and I’m busy getting acquainted with everything and having a sniff….  I found a bowl of food and ate it all – it was very yummy!  Me and Max went outside and ran around in the back yard, he wants to play, but I need to make sure he knows not to be too rough with me, I think he is figuring it out though J  We have a big sofa in front of the window so we can watch everyone in the neighborhood,  we get to lay on the back of it right in the window, I think I really like it!Momma Sandi said she will send you pictures and keep you updated on how big I get and how great I’m doing, but I wanted to tell you thank you from the tip of my tail for saving me and giving me so much love; without you I wouldn’t have gotten to live and known happiness!  You will always be my mommy and I will always hold a special place in my heart for you.
With all the love in my heart,
Piper

Just wanted to give you a little update:
Piper LOVES the snow!!  Her and Max had so much fun outside today, I had to practically drag them in out of it!!  They had a few toys they left outside that froze and they were totally perplexed that they didn’t come off the ground when they first grabbed them hahaha   I will send you a picture of them playing in the first snow – this is Max’s first time he’s ever seen snow as he was a spring puppy, I would assume it would be Piper’s too.   I got her a new pink collar with rhinestones on it so she is the family princess now J.  She hasn’t bothered Lucy (kitty) at all, but was a bit curious…I think she’s still a little scared and Lucy is very intimidating, but Lucy doesn’t seem bothered by Piper at all either.
Piper has learned how to run the “race-track” in the house LOL  When you walk in my house, to the right is the front room and through it you go to the formal dining room and then kitchen and in a full circle back to the front door…..  this is known as the race track to Max hahaha  She has even figured out that if she turns around half way through she can usually catch him making the rounds !!  It is hilarious to watch, but one really has to stay out of the way or they will barrel right into you!!!  Often they even make the detour up the stairs and it sounds like a herd of cattle stampeding up and down!   Once they lay in the front window, I just go straighten all the rugs that are then curled against the walls and wait for the next run!
Piper finally met the big golden retrievers next door several days ago; it was hilarious!!!!  She saw them and bolted to the door…… zoomed inside and them poked her head out and barked up a storm!!!  Then ran behind me (still inside) and poked her head between my legs out the door at them and barked some more.  I laughed so hard my stomach hurt!!!  She was thinking she was soooooooo big and bad – but from a nice safe distance hahahaha  Eventually (a few days later) she started running up and down the fence with Max and Riley J  She never makes it all the way to either end before she has to turn around…. Those short little legs hahaha
Her and Max are in the hallway sleeping in front of our bedroom; waiting to go to bed.  She is starting to enjoy cuddling up with Max and each day gets a little snugglier with him.  In bed she likes to lay next to me though J
I will post you some more photos and I am taking them for pics with Santa; if you wouldn’t mind and if it wouldn’t upset you, I’d like to send you one of Just Piper and Santa??
I hope all is well and that your new fosters are adjusting nicely.
Best regards,
Sandi & the fur-kids

Pip Squeak renamed Dexter
Hi,
Pip Squeak is doing GREAT! We love him SO much! We renamed him Dexter. So far he has only had one accident in the house, and lets us know when he has to go outside. He gets along great with my moms dog, they like to run around outside together and play with our outdoor cats. We are starting to see his personality shine through. He is the happiest and most cuddly puppy, and just wants to cuddle up next to Andrew and I. We took him to the pumpkin patch, and picked out a pumpkin for him, and we are going to carve it later this week. I cant wait to be able to have him at my apartment. I will attach some pictures we have taken of him these past few days, and I most definitely will keep you updated in the future :)
