Toby
Our family adopted Toby from you this past January.  We wanted to let you know that he is doing great and has happily adjusted to living with his new 'siblings' of the two legged variety.  Never having lived with a lab before, it has been great fun to discover that he swims like a champ and can dig an awesome den for himself if given the opportunity.  He enjoys rolling in the mud and chasing the small mammals that live in our yard, although surprisingly enough not the neighbors cats!   We've taken him camping and watched him figure out how to live in a tent, and even made him a member of our March of Dimes family team.  He is incredibly even tempered, eager to please, and well mannered.  He is still struggling a little with walking on a leash, but he is slowly getting it.
Thanks again for everything!

Tori
Tori is a sweetheart!

The kids would not let me change her name so she will remain Tori. We took her to get her rabies vaccine Monday night and she was so good. Other dogs barked and whined but she was only curious about all of them   but very well behaved. It was a very busy place in Mason, Dr. Patterson $10 vaccine we waited over an hour, but I would recommend it to people in this area that adopt dogs. The capital Area Humane Soc. only vaccinated dogs they spay or neuter. So far she is very quite I expect that will change as she settles in. She was very quite when I was alone with her, but once the kids came home from their dad's Sunday night she didn't want to go to bed she wanted to keep on playing with them. She really likes to play in the morning and it has helped to get my kids up earlier and ready for school so they have some time to play with her before school. However today she
didn't want to stop playing and come back in the house so the kids missed the bus. We will get better at that. She doesn't wake us in the morning but she is ready to play when I get up at
7:00 I wouldn't have guessed you got her up that early.
She hasn't "asked" to go outside yet, but we take her out a lot and she usually goes in the designated area right away. So that is going very well for now as long as she is on the leash and we can director her. I'm not sure once we have the yard fenced in and she has more freedom but we will continue to work on that.
One thing that surprises me, and that you did an excellent job of training her on, is that she doesn't beg at all for people food. She lays right next to me chewing on a toy while I eat. We really appreciate this skill and will continue to keep that up.
Our cat was the only concern we had and I'm confident it will be fine. Tori is interested in the cat but so far the cat is afraid and has softly hissed at her. Tori's reaction is to back off and walk away. I'm really glad about that. Once the cat relaxes I'm sure they will be fine. Neither of them has tried to go after the other.
Thanks again for taking such good care of her. We love her and are very happy to have her in our family. We will send you pictures sometime.

Tristen renamed Z-Man
Hi
The branch in the back ground is the stick he brought home from a walk. We call him Zeek, Pookie, Boo and Z man. He comes to all the names. The Z-man comes from TaZMANian Devil. He really is a good boy- just needs to expand some extra energy sometimes. We just love him so much! Thank you for helping us find a new furry Friend! Although the cats doesn't think so!

Turner
Turner was one of our fosters that was in a house fire of one of our volunteers.  He is one of the surviving pups that was badly burned.  Photos are after his adoption by a wonderful family.

Hi, Just thought I would let you guys know how Turner is doing. He got fixed May 2 they also did surgery on his side to remove some of his skin. In the second picture was his first day home. Today may 17th his stitches were removed and he got to see his brother Hooch. He was so excited. We found a hat so now he can be out in the sun. He loves to go to the pet stores. He is wonderful.
Turner was sad to leave Hooch.
